Favorite aspect of the sanctuary: The wolves. To see so many in one place and in packs made my heart jump for joy. To see them happy, healthy and content. They have plenty of space to run around and have high platforms to go up on to and see all of their surroundings and the other wolves. They have very large underground dens to shelter them from the rain, cold and hot summer days. Plenty of oak trees for shade and places to hide.

Favorite wolf and why: I can’t say I have a favorite. I feel I share a unique relationship with each wolf that I interact with. They all have different personalities and I love them all! I would have to say that laying on the ground beside Zeke one day gave me an inner peaceful feeling of being accepted and trusted.

Your role here: To give the wolves love and affection and all the attention they want. To make sure they have clean pools and fresh water to drink; anything that is required to keep them in a safe and clean environment to run, play and sleep in.

What being part of this unique mission means to you: I have always loved wolves and to be able to interact with them is a dream come true for me. To be a part of helping with their care and happiness fills me with unbelievable bliss. It is truly an honor to be a volunteer at this sanctuary and to be apart of their mission in life with these wolves!
