Biography:
Michaela is a two year old British Columbia Wolf and the sibling of Mica, Grace and Faith; she’s also the offspring of Angel and Amos. All six were rescued from North Carolina. Michaela (and Gracie) was rescued at 9 weeks old. She is not very social, but she’s a good natured animal who likes to play and have fun. She’s slowly coming around and allows Debra and John to feed her by hand. Unfortunately, she’s a bit dangerous at night. She black and she knows you can’t see her when it’s dark, so she likes to sneak up on you from the rear and take a bite out of your butt or leg. Since she didn’t grow up being handled, she’s not sensitive to our pain threshold, so her bites are usually powerful and potentially dangerous. For the record, her playfulness is responsible for a few stitches here; just ask Danielle (volunteer) about that. That said, she’s still just playing and it’s her home, not ours, so it’s up to us to learn her manner of living and her rules when we’re in her home.
