Biography:
Spirit is an Alaskan Interior/Arctic Wolf mix. She is extremely powerful and also quite dangerous. This doesn’t mean that she’s anti-social or that she doesn’t like people because she loves people and very much so. Spirit just likes to take from you what she wants, i.e., shoes, pants, shirts, chewing gum (from your mouth) and anything in your pockets (by ripping them off the pants) and whatever is in your hands. This personality makes her potentially the most dangerous wolf here. We love her though and she would never intentionally hurt anyone. Arctic wolves are typically medium sized wolves and shorter than the British Columbia and Alaskan Wolves, which are taller and more lanky in stature. But because she’s half Alaskan Interior, she’s like a giant Arctic Wolf. She has all of the look and proportions of an Arctic Wolf, but she’s the size of the largest of Alaskan Interior Wolves, thus making her one of the most unique wolves in captivity. While Arctics are typically only 25” to 28” tall at the shoulder, Spirit is 34” at the shoulder, with all of the girth of an Arctic. She weighs between 140 lbs. and 165 lbs. in the winter and about 120 lbs. to 135 lbs. in the summer.
